Partnership of PROMOTE

How to become a PROMOTE Partner?

PROMOTE is currently a project within the ESA GMES Service Element running over 3 years (Stage 2, 7/2006-7/2009). Within this project tasks and budget are distributed over the partners as proposed to and approved by ESA. By means of an annual review necessary adjustments can be made. Furthermore, ESA can accept further services through dedicated calls or contract change notes. Joining the PROMOTE-2 project requires an agreement between ESA and the PROMOTE-2 coordinator.

In the longer term, the PROMOTE consortium is setting up a durable, distributed, open network of service providers via a Service partnership Protocol. This network shall last beyond the current project and assure links between partners and services working within "core" and "downstream" portions of a future EC-led GMES Atmosphere pilot service and may possibly be funded from different sources. Joining the PROMOTE network requires approval by the PROMOTE network general assembly.

As all ESA GSE projects PROMOTE is open to new partners provided that following conditions are met:
  • a new partner has a proven capability to provided added value to the existing PROMOTE services (e.g. additional regional coverage, improved quality or reliability of products, new products and services)
  • at least one user has signed a Service Level Agreement for this service and is ready to utilize and evaluate it
  • the proposed service is documented, validated and qualified
  • funding for the service provision is secured (either approved by ESA within available national geo-return or confirmed from other sources)
  • If you are interested in becoming a partner of PROMOTE, please contact the PROMOTE coordinator.

How to become a PROMOTE User?

Within the course of the project, PROMOTE aims at progressively expanding the volume and geographical extent of services delivered to end users. Therefore, PROMOTE is planning to extend the volume of services provided to existing users, but also to enlarge its user community.

If you are interested in becoming a user of PROMOTE services, please contact the PROMOTE User Executive Board
