The User Federation (UF) is composed of all users that signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) within PROMOTE. The UF therefore is a group of active users that is closely cooperating and interacting with one or more service provider organisations, and provides feedback to improve PROMOTE services. The UF aims at ensuring that PROMOTE services are strongly user-driven and acts as an interface between the demand and supply sides of the project. Members of the UF also provide input to several user-related documents.
The User Executive Board (UEB) is the body that speaks on behalf of the User Federation within the project. It is the formal representation of the UF within the service network management structure and shall facilitate an overall steering of the project by users. It reviews and endorses the revised annual work plan, including any proposed service extensions, coordinates the entire feedback of the user federation, and formulates an independent executive summary of user needs and priorities for the subsequent project phase. The leader of the UEB is also a member of the Core Management Team. Moreover, the UEB works to enable a common understanding of service needs and implementation requirements across different user organisations.
